Terms of Service

Welcome to Fitlas ("the app", "we", "our", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Fitlas. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account. Do not impersonate others.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Subscriptions (Fitlas Pro)

Fitlas offers an optional paid subscription called Fitlas Pro that unlocks additional features. The core app can be used free of charge.

• Billing: Subscriptions are purchased through, and billed by, Apple via your Apple ID (in-app purchase). Apple is the merchant of record; we never receive or store your payment card details. Prices, including applicable VAT, are shown in the App Store purchase sheet before you buy and may vary by country.
• Plans: Fitlas Pro is available as an auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscription. Current prices are always displayed in the app before purchase.
• Free trial: The yearly plan may include a free trial (for example 7 days). Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts automatically and the yearly price is charged.
• Automatic renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Cancelling: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device settings: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions, or via the "Manage subscription" link in the app's settings. After cancelling, Pro features remain available until the end of the period you have paid for.
• Refunds and withdrawal: Because purchases are made through Apple, refund requests — including exercising the EU 14-day right of withdrawal — are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com and are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms.
• When a subscription ends: Your account reverts to the free plan. Nothing you created is ever deleted — content above the free plan's limits remains fully usable; only creating new content beyond those limits requires an active subscription again.
• Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings; otherwise Apple will continue billing you.
• Price changes: If a subscription price changes, Apple will notify you in advance in accordance with App Store rules, and where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
• Promotional access: We may grant free or discounted Pro access (for example to early supporters). Promotional access is provided at our discretion and does not renew or convert into a paid subscription by itself.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use Fitlas to:

• Post spam, advertisements, or unsolicited commercial content.
• Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate other users.
• Post content that is sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or discriminatory.
• Share misinformation about health, nutrition, or fitness that could cause harm.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the app.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app.

5. User-Generated Content

• You retain ownership of the content you post (workout shares, meal posts, comments).
• By posting content to the feed, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display it to other users within the app.
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms or our community guidelines without notice.
• You can report content or users that violate these terms. We will review all reports and take appropriate action.

6. Content Moderation

We moderate content through user reports and periodic review. Our moderation process includes:

• Reviewing all user reports within a reasonable timeframe.
• Removing content that violates these terms or community guidelines.
• Warning, suspending, or permanently banning users who repeatedly violate the rules.
• Users may block other users to prevent unwanted interactions.

7. Health & Fitness Disclaimer

Fitlas is for fitness tracking and education purposes only. It is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

• Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any fitness program or making changes to your diet.
• Macro targets and nutrition suggestions are general guidelines, not personalized medical recommendations.
• We are not responsible for any injury, health issue, or adverse effect resulting from following information in the app.
• If you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention.

8. Intellectual Property

• The app, its design, code, and branding are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws.
• You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fitlas and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of data, injury, or health issues.

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

10. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.
• Deleting your account does not cancel an active Fitlas Pro subscription — cancel it separately in your Apple ID subscription settings (see section 3).
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice.
• Upon termination, your data will be permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.
